Genesis ("the Service") is operated by Tessermind LTD, a company registered in England & Wales (company number 15069302), registered office 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom. For privacy questions, contact privacy@tessermind.com. Tessermind LTD is the data controller for your personal data.
We use your data to provide the Service (processing your requests with our AI provider), create and manage your account and credits, take payment, prevent fraud and abuse, provide support, and comply with our legal obligations. Our legal bases under UK GDPR are: performance of our contract with you (providing the Service and billing), our legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, improving reliability), and compliance with legal obligations (e.g. tax and accounting records).
To answer your requests, your messages and the relevant place data are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, PBC, which processes them to generate results. We send only what is needed for the task. Data sent through the Anthropic API is processed under Anthropic's commercial terms and is not used to train their models.
We share data only with the service providers needed to run Genesis, acting as our processors:
We may also disclose data where required by law. We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Some providers (e.g. Anthropic, Stripe) process data outside the UK/EEA, including in the United States. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
We keep account and credit data for as long as your account is active. Chat history is kept to provide conversation continuity and can be cleared at any time with “New chat”, or deleted when you delete your account. Billing and transaction records are kept for up to 6 years to meet UK tax and accounting requirements. We delete or anonymise data we no longer need. We also keep short-term encrypted backups for disaster recovery (typically up to 30 days), after which deleted data ages out of the backups and is not restored.
Under UK GDPR you can request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy (portability) of your personal data, and you can object to or ask us to restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@tessermind.com. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
The Service is intended for users aged 18 or over, or aged 13 or over with the consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to our Terms on the child's behalf. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us data, contact privacy@tessermind.com and we will delete it.
We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies: a session cookie to keep you signed in, and a short-lived referral cookie if you arrive through a referral link. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Data is transmitted over HTTPS, passwords are stored only as secure hashes, and access to systems is restricted. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data.
We may update this policy from time to time; we will notify you of material changes. Questions: privacy@tessermind.com.
